What are the advantages of AUMA electric actuators?
The basic actuator is used to drive the valve to the fully open or fully closed position. The actuator used to control the valve allows the valve to reach any position. While most actuators are used to open and close valves, today's actuators have been designed to go far beyond simple open and close functions. They include position sensing devices, torque sensing devices, electrode protection devices, logic control devices, digital communication modules and PID control modules, all housed in a compact housing.
The main advantages of AUMA electric actuators are high stability and a constant thrust that the user can apply. The actuator can produce thrust up to 225,000 KGF. Only the hydraulic actuator can achieve such a large thrust, but the cost of the hydraulic actuator is much higher than that of the electric actuator.
The AUMA electric actuator has good anti-deviation ability, and the output thrust or torque is basically constant, which can well overcome the unbalanced force of the medium and realize the control of process parameters, so the control accuracy is higher than that of the pneumatic actuator. If a servo amplifier is used, the positive and negative effects can be easily exchanged, and the state of the closed signal valve (hold/full on/full off) can also be easily set, but when there is a fault, it will stay in place, which is beyond the ability of the pneumatic actuator. Pneumatic actuator needs a set of integrated protection system to realize position protection.
The AUMA electric actuator consists of two parts: a power module and a position locator (PM-2 control board). Among them, the power parts are mainly composed of motor, reducer, torque travel limiter, switch control box, hand wheel, mechanical limit device, position transmitter and so on. The functions of each part are described as follows:
The motor is a special single-phase or three-phase AC asynchronous motor with high starting torque, small starting current and small moment of inertia, so it has good servo characteristics. The thermal control switch is installed inside the motor stator for overheat protection. When the motor is abnormally overheated (the internal temperature exceeds 130), the switch will disconnect the circuit that controls the motor to protect the motor and the actuator. When the motor cools down, the switch will be turned on and the circuit will work again. In order to overcome inertia idling, the motor control circuit of the adjustable electric actuator has an electric braking function.
Reducer: angular travel actuator adopts planetary deceleration and worm gear transmission mechanism, which has high mechanical efficiency and mechanical self-locking characteristics. The reducer of the linear actuator is composed of a multi-ring actuator reducer and is equipped with a nut transmission device.
